From Eight to Eighty, archery is an activity that can provide a lifetime of outdoor adventure for the whole family.

Whether you're seeking a group activity or a solo experience, archery can educate you in the meaningful qualities of patience and perseverance while providing you with everything from a nearly sedentary workout to a most strenuous aerobic experience.

Shoestring Productions has been providing beginner's level archery instruction since 2003.

Our Certified NFAA/USA Archery Community Coach (Level 3) is currently offering Basic Level (Level 1) instructor certification at the Palomo Archery facilities located in Palo Alto, California, which allows participation at Boy and Girl Scouts, 4H and other community parks and recreation activities requiring such certification.

Instructor’s liability insurance is also available through USA Archery for no additional fee as part of USA Archery membership.

Never too young? This student started at the age of four - but attention span is shortened, the younger you start.

Typical beginners start at age ten and classes are geared towards age-appropriate expectations of accomplishment. We’re always delighted when students take the sport very seriously but we also want to see an element of fun involved for all participants.

King's Mountain Archers (www.kingsmountainarchers.org) currently offers free lessons at their beautiful outdoor range located at the upper end of Huddart Park in Woodside, California.
